Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the flooring business. Starting in college, where he majored in Forestry, he has always been a technical guru on all things flooring – with an extra special interest in wood! Jeff started his career in the ceramic tile industry, worked in the carpet business, and in both retail and wholesale wood flooring before he opened Independence Floor Supply in 2012. He has been fine tuning our offerings ever since – focusing on wood flooring, tile of all styles, finishes, abrasives, machines, and machine rental and repair.

Steph has been in the flooring industry for over 25 years! She has been a part of most all aspects of supply and sales throughout her career – from purchasing agent of wood and tile, to retail sales, to office manager – and continues to be the one to keep everything in line in her role at Independence Floor Supply since joining Jeff in 2015. Steph wears many hats at IFS, including accounting, estimating, delivery coordinating, and much more!

Jim is a man of many talents and skill sets – ranging from his strong background in the financial industry in Chicago to the sales, installation, and product knowledge of all things hardwood flooring. Jim came to Independence Floor Supply from a local wood flooring retail shop where he spent a few years gaining hands on experience and can answer almost anything you throw at him about wood flooring! He is also a crucial part and has helped develop the course to the future of Independence Floor Supply!

Kady has spent her entire career in the design and building industry – residential and commercial – with a focus on tile design. She has worked on both the design side and primarily the supplier side prior to joining our team at Independence Floor Supply. Her knowledge of color, materials, space planning, and tile installation have taken our ability to help clients to a new level!

John has spent his career in the hardware and construction industries since the late 1980’s. He started out working for an old-fashioned hardware store as an after-school job, then managing a parts crib and customer service for an injection-molding machine distributor in the early 1990’s. After that he worked inside sales/logistics and customer service for Johns Manville in their low-slope roofing division, moving on from there to work for a small Maintenance-Repair-Operations distributor buying & selling everything that government and institutional customers need from fasteners, to chemicals, to spray paints, abrasives, adhesives, and more. He now brings his 30+ years of “Jack of all Trades” experience to IFS to focus on improving workflows and logistics for the company.

Jim comes to IFS with nearly 40 years of experience in the construction and remodeling industries. Prior to coming to IFS, Jim owned and operated a remodeling company in Lewiston and Old Orchard for 16 years and most recently worked for a large local remodeling firm where he was the Sales Manager. Jim has known Steph and Jeff and worked with Independence Floor Supply for more than 10 years and had been sending homeowners and businesses through their doors for years. When not working, Jim enjoys time with his wife, daughter and dog. The family skis, mountain bikes and loves being at the beach. Jim enjoys playing hockey and BBQing for friends and family.

Paul comes to Independence Floor Supply as an accomplished designer and decorator contributing to the exciting growth happening every day at Independence Floor Supply. What matters most to Paul is serving God, my family, and my community.
